Our very own Miss Middlesbrough is currently preparing to take on the rest of the country for national glory.
Jenna Hobbs, 21, won the title of Miss Middlesbrough this year, but hopes to take her title to the next level and bag the Miss England crown on September 4th.
This is a coveted title and girls from across the country will appear to compete, but the whole of Teesside is sure to be backing Jenna.
During the run up to the event, she has been involved in raising money for charities through a variety of activities, such as bungee-jumping from the Transporter Bridge.
She has also been planning her showstopping dress to fit in with the competition's theme of plastic ocean rescue, and it will include recycled materials like crisp packets and bottle tops.
But along with all of this, Jenna needs the help of her fellow Boro babes. She says, “the public vote acts as one judge on the panel and it can be used as the decider in the event of any ties," so she needs as many votes as possible from us at home.
To vote for her, just text MISS ENGLAND23 to 63333. Texts cost 50p and full terms and conditions can be found on the Miss England website.
So what does this competition mean to Jenna? She says, “I really want to represent Middlesbrough on a national level and then hopefully go on to representing it on the global stage. The competition opens up so many opportunities and I’d love to be able to do more for charity."
We're looking forward to seeing how she does in the competition and photos of the fabulous crisp packet dress!
